How To: Home skincare in under 5 mins a day.

SKIN ESSENTIALS BY MARIGA HOMECARE ROUTINE:
 
One of the most common things I hear in the salon on a day-to-day basis is that women think they haven't got the time to keep up a regular skincare routine at home. I don't know where the idea got started that it is a time-consuming chore but I'm here to tell you it's not so! Of course, if you have the time and enjoy pampering yourself, go for it and take as long as you like luxuriating in your bathroom of an evening but for everyone else here is a simple routine that takes about 1 minute in the morning and all of 3 minutes at night:
 
 
 
 
Evening Routine: 
1.Cleanse your face by applying your cleanser all over to dry skin, emulsify with warm water and remove with a facecloth or muslin cloth.
2.Apply a treatment serum for your skin type.
3.Apply a hydrating night cream if your skin is dry or treatment cream if recommended.
(I like to brush my teeth between step 2 and 3 to give the serum extra time to absorb)
 
 
Morning Routine:
No need to cleanse again unless you have oily skin, a rinse with warm water will do.
Apply your recommended treatment serum.
Apply moisturiser with a high SPF.

My skin always looks and feels a lot better when I follow the routine that you described, but I get so lazy at night that I often don't. My New Year's resolution is to wash my face EVERY night. Fingers crossed!

Hi Louise, thanks for commenting. Here's a tip to help you keep your resolution - you don't have to leave your eveningtime skincare routine until you're going to bed, when you are most likely to be lazy! Do it earlier in the evening before you get too tired. M.
